Happy Hump Day Everybody!!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! We had a great time hosting some very good friends who came from out-of-town to celebrate with us. We started this tradition a few years back with our friends Jason & Charles and Chris & Ashley. We really love the new tradition we’ve created and it’s always nice to have a planned time of year when we are all able to get together! The first year we went to see Jason & Charles in Tucson, AZ and last year we spent the holiday up in the North Woods of Wisconsin at Jason’s family’s cabin. This year was the first year we had ever hosted a holiday of any kind at our house. Thankfully everything turned out great thanks to everyone helping out in the kitchen!
Once everyone had gone and we were back to a quiet house, we started Christmas decorating! It’s been 2 years since we’ve had our own tree up so as you can guess I was more than excited to get everything out! Kody even wanted to join in the Christmas fun once I found his Christmas pajamas!
We received a wonderful present in the mail from Jim & Peg right about the time we were decorating the tree! Isn’t this the greatest gift! Thank you guys again so much for the ornament! It means so much to us already!
Onto other things happening around the house…. We’re currently in demolition mode! That’s right! We started our master bath renovation on Monday and the demo has begun! We’re so excited for this project and can’t wait until it’s finished! It’ll be so nice to have a fully functioning master bath; it’s been so long!!! I hope you guys stay updated on this with us. I put Dustin in charge of the updates on this one for you! So far I think he’s doing pretty good. You can follow the “old/new” blog on the renovation here: http://makinghouseahome.wordpress.com/
I’ll keep you updated here on the progress too!
So let’s talk baby!
We picked up our crib this past weekend! I’m so excited to get it put together but unfortunately the baby’s room as become a “holding room” again due to the reno. I think we’ll be able to get some stuff out of there pretty soon though. Everything from our hall closet had to be shoved in there but once the electric is wired we should be able to get it “kind of” back to normal!
25 weeks and 3 days today! Only 14 weeks and 4 days left! Can you believe that?!?! That’s like 3 months away!! I just know it’s all going to fly by in an instant. According to my baby info, baby girl is about the size of an eggplant! She’s now about a foot long or more and weighs around a pound and a half! And I’m pretty sure she’s been growing some hair, if I am just going by old wives tales because I’ve had some serious heartburn lately! And I haven’t forgotten about belly pics! I’ll get one again soon! It’s amazing how bad I am at remembering those! Lol. 🙂
Have a great day and more to come soon!
