Weekly Pregnancy Stats

I follow a few different baby blogs and came across some that update with the same questions weekly for mommy to be. I thought this would be some fun insight to what’s going on with me and baby for everyone!
Hope you enjoy!!

How Far Along: 13 weeks and 3 days!!

Size of baby: Peach, Lemon, Shrimp, Egg, you choose!!

Total Weight Gain: 1lb at 9 weeks (crossing my fingers it’s not much more now!)

Gender: Still a mystery

Movement: Pirouettes and somersaults but haven’t felt anything yet!

Sleep: Loving it! My new official bedtime is around 9:30 even if I have already fallen asleep on the couch! Dustin knows exactly when I’m ready to head to bed because apparently I give a little sigh each night!!

What I miss: Fitting into some of my pants! Luckily we’re getting so close to fall-bring on the leggings!

Cravings: This week it’s been Honey Nut Cheerios after seeing a commercial the other day! And I’m still loving me some carbs!

Symptoms: Nauseousness seems to have tapered off, thank goodness!! Round ligament pain last night when I sneezed was horrible! I learned never to sneeze lying down again!!!

Worst Moment this week: Sadly it was the East Carolina game! Saturday was SOOOOOO hot that we didn’t make it past the 1st quarter at the stadium. Can’t wait to make up for it at this fall!

Best Moment(s) this week:
– Walking around Charlotte during the DNC and getting on MSNBC Chris Matthews Show. Yep that’s right- me and baby are now famous!! Just being a part of this great time in our city has been amazing!
– Seeing all our family at Danny and Mena’s on Sunday! We love going back to Eastern NC to see family and it was so wonderful to see everyone at once!
– Riding a unicycle again!! Yep that’s right- only one wheel and while pregnant, you should be impressed! : )

Check back in Soon!! Belly pics are only a few days away! πŸ™‚

13 week Baby Size

On Monday we hit 13 weeks! Only 7 more weeks until we find out what our little “zombie” is! So I know you all are anxiously awaiting belly pics and don’t fret because they will be coming soon. My stomach hasn’t really popped that much so ultimately it looks like I’ve been eating too much McD’s! Hopefully week 14 we’ll get one on here though!

To tide you all over here are a few inanimate objects to show the size of the baby! According to What to Expect, last week baby was the size of a peach…..

And now since we transitioned over to 13 weeks, baby is now the size of a lemon!

I don’t know about you guys but I always thought a peach was bigger than a lemon so I’m a bit confused on this one! According to Baby Center we’ve completely left the fruit tree and have moved on to seafood. Their site states baby is the size of a medium shrimp! What?!?!? Medium shrimp? Now how do you measure the size of a medium shrimp you may be asking yourself? Well I’m glad you asked because…..tada! All you need to do is place a quarter beside it! Instant measurement!

I feel a medium shrimp is smaller than a peach and a lemon but what do I know! I only eat 1 out of 3 so I’m no one to judge! Check back soon for some gut shots!! πŸ™‚

Baby Stancil’s First Photo Shoot

Today, we finally were able to see our baby! It was really an amazing thing! Dustin swore he saw that it was a boy but I have no clue how! Ha! The heart rate went down from our 9 week appointment to 159 , still a strong beater! You could even see the fluttering of it on the screen! Doctor says baby looks great and the ultrasound tech even measured the baby and estimated our due date closer to March 6th or 7th! Guess we’ll be ready a little sooner just in case!

Here are the pictures I promised!

This one is a frontal view of baby’s face with the little arms up on each side of his/her face!

This is a great profile! I believe this is after he/she flipped all around!

Closer profile shot with maybe a little wave in there!

This is my favorite! Looks like we’ll have a thumb sucker on our hands! Right before this you could see baby opening and closing it’s mouth! It was so great to see our baby moving around!

I still haven’t felt anything but that’s pretty normal at this stage. Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll feel those little flips!

Note from Baby Daddy: I’ve decided to stop referring to the baby as him/he/her/she.. Instead, the non-sex-defined fetus will be assigned the alias ‘Zombie’. Why Zombie? Because Zombie’s are essentially a-sexual, whose sole purpose is consumption and survival without regard for what’s going on around them.
